Marimekko paper skirt | Greenhouse Byron Bay
To celebrate The Paper Trail one of our stockists -
Greenhouse Byron Bay gets into the spirit with a paper window display.
We created a Marimekko ”napkin” 50′s style skirt and backdrop
also using Marimekko napkins.
To start we chose a sweet 50′s style Vogue pattern purchased from
the local second hand shop.
Then got sewing all the napkins together. The quality is simply divine!
It was quite easy to sew, the only tip really is to slow down obviously the
napkins aren’t as durable as fabric.
And voila -
“Betty” is dressed and strutting her stuff in the Greenhouse window.
Betty wears handmade Marimekko “napkin” skirt made by Nikki,
Elk necklace and Melissa shoes (available at the Greenhouse).
You can visit Melissa, Anna and Peta at the Greenhouse in
Byron Bay at Shop 2/15 Fletcher St, Byron Bay,
Natalie and Tara on the Gold Coast at
Shop T7 The Brickworks 107 Ferry Road, Southport and
of course they are online
Thanks girls we hope Betty loves her new outfit.
