The Makery
Each Monday night I have been attending a get together in Byron Bay with a bunch of truly creative and inspiring women named “The Makery”. The Makery is the brainchild Kimberly Amos, owner of Atlantic, Artist, Paper Runway contributor, Wife and mother to 3 equally creative boys. So each Monday night we gather in Kimberly’s studio and we make. The tables are decked with beautiful papers, string, paints, pens, wools and everything in between. It is such a lovely way to start the week and so much fun to get together with like minded women who each have something to share.
This week we were greeted at the entrance with these gorgeous tin can candle holders (like my description!) that Kimberly had made for her son Arlo’s recent birthday and this is what we had to create. Mine will be revealed all in good time – no prizes though for guessing what it will say
It is such an easy yet stunning up-cycled tea light holder to make.
Peta let loose with the drill
A window display in the making for the delightful “Our Corner Store” in Bangalow (watch this space!).
And next week we are screening – exciting.
If you love what you see Kimberly is exhibiting at The Paper Trail opening at Artpark on 25 May 2012 and hosting a workshop for children at 9.30am on Saturday 26 May 2012. Book your tickets here.
